1) Try to quit smoking (help a loved one quit smoking)
This tip may be an obvious one, but we can’t stress the importance enough. According to the CDC, smoking cigarettes is the cause of 480,000 deaths per year, or 1 of every 5 deaths in the US. Smoking is linked to gum disease, tooth discoloration, mouth cancer, and many other harmful diseases. It is important to have a good support system, identify your triggers, and eliminate those triggers.
2) Get a full night’s sleep
Sleeping eight hours per night will help to give you more energy throughout the day, boost your mood, and improve your appearance. On the opposite end of the spectrum, if you do not sleep enough, it can lead to obesity and health problems like diabetes.
3) Limit your Caffeine and Sugar Intake
To no one’s surprise, both of these things in excess are not good for our health. Sugar can cause you to have energy highs and lows. People often find themselves having more energy after they cut back on their sugar intake. Additionally, caffeine can overstimulate you and lead to an increase in anger.
